Week Eleven

This is the last week, the presentation week for our Appt5110 course. Some posters from other groups were very good. I think our poster still can be inproved a lot. For the presentation, unfortunately some of my group member seems like still didn't know about what we doing for the project. But for me, I can feel my communication skills has been approved from this course, and I am not afraid at all when I speak infront of people. I think a goup presentation and project can practice our team work skills, but I think this is just not work properly in school scenario.

Week Ten

Today the topic is ethics. After we disgussed in the class, I learned in business, not everything in black or white, sometimes we need to do things in the gray area, a good business should make good profit, but at the same time, we need to be nice and honest to our customers. I still a bit confuse about how to be honest to our customers due to doing a business, sometimes we must lie to customers, other wise we not able to make any profit. The sernario that we did for our presentation which is quite intersting, and from other groups presentaiton I also get some very good ideas. But unlucky we have two people didn't come to do it with us. This is the last presentation for this course, and I and feel everyone is getting better than first time which is a very good thing.

Week Night

This week i was sick on wednesday, not able to went to the class. From moodle website I found out the topic for this week was customer service which is a very important thing for business. A good company will not just making good product without customer service that's how we taking care of customers and make profit.

Week Eight

For this week, we learned how important the sustainability is for a business. Resources are limited on the earth, and population is keep growing, so when people start manufacturing product or making profit out of services, we need to think about our furture as well. Make things recycleable or more "green" which is very important.

Week Six

This week our topic is how to become a member of a professional body and why it is important. From the lesson and our research, I learned a good company or manufacture should join some professional body, this will make the company operate better, making better product or service, and makes more profit. For the presentation, I can see our group is working better than before. Hope we can keep doing the same way.

WEEK FIVE

What we learned this week is how to make a safety plan for our project. Safety plan is very important for minimise the hazards in workplace to prevent any accident may happen. Our group was doing pretty good I think. I am acturally not afraid to working with other people any more, and when we doing presentation, I am feel more confidence than before.

WEEK FOUR

This week we learned  how to correct refferencing. I think this is very useful for my further studying. Also from the class this week, I learned when we communicate with other people, always be a good listener is the first and most important thing. To be a good listener will help us better understanding the requirement from our client, also receive the feedback clients to improve our further service.

WEEK THREE

This week we started our first group work and presentation. I think my team is great. Everyone has their special skill or knowledge that I can learn from, and it is fun to work with team mates to get a thing done. I could feel my communication skills are improving from the team discusion and presentation, but still not good enough. When I was doing the presentation this week, I think I didn't manage the ideas properly and also not talking clearly enough, I will try to talk slowly and clearly next time when I presenting ideas in front of people.

WEEK TWO

This week's class we talked about our assigments, and project that we need to do for this appt course. Then I realise there are lots of things we need to do, but in the other hand, if I can get all these done will also improve my written and verbal communication skills which is very important for my further career. Will try my best work with my team.

WEEK ONE

Week one we have started course APPT5110. To be honest, I am not very interested at the beginning because I do not think this couse is that important compare to others. But after attending APPT5110, I have changed my mind. This course is designed to develop skills such as work under pressure, well presented, even language which I felt that I lacked with as being an EASL student. So I start to realize the importance of this course and have the desire to improve those skills which certainly will help in my future career.
